The scholarship offers a $1,000 award to the selected applicant, empowering students to contribute their voice and ideas to a critical conversation that affects countless families across the nation.
Scholarship Details
Essay Topic
Applicants must submit an original essay with a minimum of 750 words on the topic:
“Advancing Justice Through Awareness: Exploring the Prevalence of Nursing Home Abuse and Wrongful Death and Proposing Solutions to Prevent These Injustices”
Essays should demonstrate a thoughtful analysis of the issue, incorporate research or real-world examples, and present innovative strategies to promote justice and accountability in nursing home care.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Be currently enrolled, or about to enroll, in an accredited undergraduate, graduate, or community college program in the United States.
- High school students may apply if they have received acceptance to an accredited college or university.

Applicants must submit the following:

- An academic transcript reflecting cumulative GPA.
- A university acceptance letter (for high school applicants only).
